Career Summary

Transferred to Al-Arabi SC on Jan. 22, 2019.

Described by Toronto FC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko as "a creative player with experience playing in an attacking midfield role but also centrally which gives us flexibility in our system," Vazquez had a spectacular first season with Toronto. He is a precision passer who finished the regular season with 16 assists. It's safe to say he'll figure into TFC's midfield for 2018.

OUTSIDE MLS: Vazquez is a product of the famed Barcelona youth system. He made his only league appearance for the first team in April 2008, though he also featured for the team in Champions League play on a handful of occasions before finding regular playing time in a move to Club Brugge in January 2011. He went on to make over 100 appearances across all competitions for the Belgian side and was named Belgian Footballer of the Year for the 2014-15 season. Most recently, Vazquez played for Mexican outfit Cruz Azul.

INTERNATIONAL: Vazquez has made a lone appearances for Spain's Under-16 national team.
