He helped keep a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over New England on opening day (March 3), and was named to the MLS Team of the Week for his efforts; he earned a second MLS Team of the Week honor after another clean sheet, this time vs. Columbus (March 17). He notched his first-ever brace as well as the first two-goal performance by a Union defender in team history as part of the win at New England (August 11), and was again named to the MLS Team of the Week. He helped the Union keep a shutout vs. NYCFC (August 18) and was once again named to the MLS Team of the Week for the fourth time in 2018. In the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, Elliott made three appearances (three starts) at centerback, scoring one goal. 2017 (Philadelphia/Bethlehem): Elliott made 30 appearances (29 starts) at centerback for Philadelphia during his rookie season, scoring one goal and adding one assist. He was named a finalist for the league's Rookie of the Year award. He made his professional debut by coming on as a substitute at centerback at D.C. United (April 1) and made his first MLS start by getting the nod at centerback vs. New York City FC (April 14). He started every match over the club's record four-match shutout streak, culminating vs. Houston (May 17). He scored his first career goal during a start at San Jose (August 19) and added his first career assist two matches later vs. Atlanta (August 26). COLLEGIATE EXPERIENCE

While at West Virginia, Elliott appeared in 68 matches, while recording six goals and five assists. Elliott was named to the 2016 NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region First Team in addition to earning CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team honors, becoming WVU’s first three-time Academic All-America honoree.

ACQUIRED: Philadelphia Union selected defender Jack Elliott in the Fourth Round (77th overall) of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft on January 17, 2017 and signed him on February 24, 2017. Elliott signed a new contract with the Union on May 22, 2019.
