You can't get much by Vancouver Whitecaps goalkeeper David Ousted these days.

After a stellar end to his June campaign, the 'Caps No.1 posted a comfortable win in the Etihad Player of the Month voting for June, becoming the second Vancouver player to win the award this season after Octavio Rivero captured it in March.

Ousted finished the month with a 1.00 goals against average and was a key contributor as the Whitecaps rattled off three consecutive road wins to post a 3-1-0 record in June. He made seven saves in a 2-1 loss to the Montreal Impact on June 3, impressing despite finding himself on the losing end of the game. He did not have to make a single save as Vancouver then posted a 1-0 victory at the LA Galaxy, but was vital in securing his team's next two results.

The Danish veteran made five saves against the New York Red Bulls and became just the third goalkeeper in MLS history to save two penalties in one game after he denied Bradley Wright-Phillips from the spot once in each half of a 2-1 win. Ousted may have topped that impressive achievement, though, with a spectacular eight-save outing against the New England Revolution on June 27 in another 2-1 win.

In addition to the Player of the Month award, Ousted's first penalty save on Wright-Phillips in Week 16 earned him his second Save of the Week award of 2015. He is now poised to make it two straight, as he comfortably leads in Week 17 voting with under 12 hours remaining.

Ousted comfortably topped Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco, who finished as runner-up for the second straight month, by over 17 percentage points, while Philadelphia's C.J. Sapong, Portland's Fanendo Adi and San Jose's Matias Perez Garcia all received over 10% of the vote.
