TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing

Toronto FC have signed midfielder Ralph Priso to a Homegrown deal, the club announced Wednesday. Priso is the club's 25th player to graduate from the academy to the first team.

Priso, 18, represented Canada at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil, playing in all three games of the group stage. He also made five appearances for Toronto FC II during the 2019 USL One regular season.

“Ralph is a talented young player and we are excited to add him to our MLS roster," general manager Ali Curtis said in a club statement. "While he has earned this opportunity through hard work, determination, and great commitment on behalf of his family, his signing is also a full illustration of the club’s commitment to developing players within the community, and our player development pathway. Ralph performed very well within our academy and USL team, and has been excellent these past few months training with the first team. We’re excited about Ralph and the future.”

Priso is a central midfielder and joined Toronto's academy in 2017. He is the club's fourth Homegrown signing of the season.

Toronto are currently in pole position for the 2020 Supporters' Shield, three points ahead of second-place Philadelphia Union with six games left.
