ORIGINAL, FRIDAY 10:41 am ET: Nashville SC have signed US youth international goalkeeper Brady Scott, sources have told MLSsoccer.com.

Scott, 21, was previously with FC Koln in Germany and made 29 appearances for the club’s second team. He was generally around the first team, though never made his Bundesliga debut before his contract expired.

Scott also had interest from Denmark and Belgium, a source adds.

The goalkeeper was on the United States roster at the 2017 and 2019 U-20 World Cups, the latter of which he started three games at as the Americans advanced to the quarterfinals. Scott was called into a 2019 US U-23 camp, as was his new Nashville teammate — center back Jack Maher. He won the Golden Glove at the U-20 Concacaf Championship in 2018, leading the United States to the title.

The 21-year-old joins a goalkeeper depth chart that includes Joe Willis, Adrian Zendejas and Elliot Panicco.

Nashville earned their first-ever MLS win on Wednesday, beating FC Dallas 1-0. The expansion club continues their season on Sunday against Dallas (8:30 pm ET | MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US, DAZN in Canada).
