To no surprise, LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane has been named to the Republic of Ireland national team’s provisional 40-man roster.
Head coach Martin O’Neil revealed the squad Thursday ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifiers against Germany and Poland. Keane last featured for Ireland in their two Euro qualifying wins earlier this month, scoring a goal in their 4-0 rout of Gibraltar on Sept. 4 and starting and playing the first half in a 1-0 victory over Georgia on Sept. 7.
Ireland will take on Germany on Oct. 8 and Poland on Oct. 11.
