The Cristian Pavon transfer saga might have a part two.

After a long process for the LA Galaxy to land the Argentine star on loan last year, they may be in for another round of negotiations to keep him. The player reportedly has a $20 million purchase option as part of his loan deal, but TyC Sports reports that the Galaxy have told Boca they won't pay the $20 million figure and want to negotiate a new price.

Pavon's loan expires after the 2020 season.

The 24-year-old forward has been productive during his time in MLS, with 10 goals and 15 assists across 29 appearances thus far. If the Galaxy were to agree to the $20 million purchase option, it'd be the most expensive incoming transfer in MLS history.

Pavon had spent the majority of his career with Boca before joining the Galaxy. In Argentina he had 29 goals and 34 assists for the storied club over 118 appearances. He has 11 caps with the national team, including four at the 2018 World Cup.
