Who needs a chainsaw? Union fans spoof Timbers tradition | SIDELINE

The Portland Timbers' log-cutting celebrations may be one of the most unique traditions in world soccer but watch out – people are going to take notice.

Enter the Sons of Ben, who used Portland's visit to Philadelphia on Saturday evening to come up with one of the more clever displays of tifo you'll see this year, and a little extra performance to go with it:

If you didn't see – in place of the actual log that Timber Joey uses in Portland, these Union fans put their chainsaw skills to work on some Bimbo bread – the team's shirt sponsor. By our count, that looks like a little more than the three slices they should've cut off for their eventual 3-0 victory over the Timbers.

Very well played, nonetheless, Sons of Ben.
