Orlando City announced on Tuesday that the club have reached their goal of 14,000 season tickets sold, a milestone that has prompted the Lions to cap sales and establish a waiting list for season tickets for the 2016 season.
Orlando City become the fourth MLS team with a season-ticket waiting list. The team has said it elected to cap season-ticket sales at 14,000 to ease transition for fans from Orlando's temporary home at the Citrus Bowl to the new downtown stadium set to open in 2016.

“Today is an exciting day for our club as we successfully completed our campaign to sell out our first year of season tickets,” said Orlando City president Phil Rawlins in a club statement. “Our fans have responded overwhelmingly in support of our club, and we are incredibly grateful for their support each and every week, with the sea of purple in the stands and throughout The City Beautiful.”
The Lions’ next home game is against Toronto FC on Sunday (7 pm ET, FOX Sports 1, FOX Deportes).
