NEW YORK RED BULLS vs NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION
RED BULL ARENA, Harrison, NJ

July 11, 2015 (WEEK 19, MLS Game #187)
7 pm ET (MLS LIVE)

The New York Red Bulls and New England Revolution resume their I-95 rivalry when the clubs meet in a crucial match in the Eastern Conference on Saturday evening at Red Bull Arena. The teams are separated by just a single point in the division, the Revolution still sitting in a tie for second place, with the Red Bulls holding onto the final playoff position at present. The Red Bulls had their two-game winning run snapped in a 2-1 defeat at Columbus Crew SC last weekend, while the Revolution saw their losing run extended to four league games in a 3-0 loss at FC Dallas.

  • Anatole Abang scored his third goal in the last five games, but the Red Bulls had their two-game winning run put to an end in a 2-1 loss at Columbus Crew SC on Saturday evening.
  • The Revolution had their losing slide extended to four games, dropping a 3-0 decision to FC Dallas on Saturday evening. The Revs have just one win in their last 11 league games, dating back to May 8.
  • The teams are meeting for the second time this season. Charlie Davies and Teal Bunbury netted goals for the Revolution in their 2-1 win, May 2 at Gillette Stadium.
  • The Revolution defeated the Red Bulls 2-1 at Red Bull Arena in the first leg of the Eastern Conference Championship a year ago, their first win of any sort in New Jersey since 2007, ending a 10-game winless streak there in all competitions.
  • When the Red Bulls won 2-0 in Foxborough last year, it was the first for New York in New England since 2002. The Revolution had won 13 of 19 meetings in league and MLS Cup play since that previous New York win.
