We’ve grown accustomed to seeing Alphonso Davies in the starting XI for Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich, though not too long ago he was terrorizing MLS defenses.
Look no further than a July 28, 2018 match when the Vancouver Whitecaps hosted Minnesota United. That's the latest subject of our MLS Classics series, and Davies, then 17, had just secured his transfer to Bayern.
He factored into four Vancouver goals, scoring twice and assisting another pair, slashing through the Loons defense on a special night at BC Place. There were other strong showings, sure, but this was the Davies show from start to finish.
