Following the LA Galaxy's commanding 4-0 win over Toronto FC on Saturday came surprising news of a player departure from the club.
LA head coach Bruce Arena announced to reporters after the game that midfielder Stefan Ishizaki played his final game as a member of the Galaxy.
Ishizaki, 33, joined the Galaxy ahead of the 2014 season. The Swedish international was a regular contributor over the past season and a half, making 50 appearances in the MLS regular season and four more in the playoffs, scoring six goals and 13 assists in MLS play. He also started in and won the 2014 MLS Cup.
