It took less than 45 minutes for Steven Gerrard to make an impact with the LA Galaxy.
The Designated Player, making his MLS debut on Friday in the California Clasico rivalry game against the San Jose Earthquakes, had a hand in both of LA's first-half goals. After drawing the penalty to bring the hosts to just a goal down after Quincy Amarikwa's brace, Gerrard was in the perfect spot to bury a sweet curling shot past David Bingham to tie it up in the 37th minute, officially opening up his MLS scoring account.
