MLS’ reigning MVP isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
The LA Galaxy announced Wednesday they have signed forward Robbie Keane to a contract extension. Per club and MLS policy, specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We’re very pleased Robbie will continue to be a member of the Galaxy in the coming years,” LA Galaxy head coach and general manager Bruce Arena said in a statement. “He has been one of the key pieces in our success over the past five seasons. We look forward to even more success with Robbie as a member of our team.”
Keane has totaled 55 goals in 91 appearances for the Galaxy. He recorded 19 goals and 14 assists last season in leading the Galaxy to the MLS Cup title.
