The LA Galaxy have acquired midfielder Carlos Harvey on loan from their USL Championship affiliate Galaxy II, the club announced on June 26.

Harvey, 20, will be added to the Galaxy's first-team roster pending approval of his P-1 visa.

“Carlos is a young and promising player who has impressed during his time on loan with the club,” Galaxy general manager Dennis te Kloese said in Friday's release. “We think he can contribute in our upcoming competitions while he continues to develop as a player. We are pleased to add him to our squad.”

Harvey started his professional career in the top flight of his native Panama with Tauro FC in 2018 before joining Galaxy II on loan ahead of last season, starting 19 games and scoring two goals.

On the international stage, Harvey has made six appearances for Panama's U-20s during the 2018 U-20 Concacaf Championship, tallying one assist, also starting three group matches for his country in the 2019 U-20 World Cup. He earned his first senior cap in a friendly against the US men's national team on January 27, 2019.
