Jozy Altidore and Sloane Stephens are one of the best-known sports couples in North America, and the duo have announced they are planning to tie the knot.
The Toronto FC star announced on Monday on social media his engagement to the tennis star, with Stephens prominently wearing an engagement ring in photos the couple released.
Altidore, 29, has reportedly been in a relationship with Stephens since 2016. The duo, who both grew up in Florida, apparently knew each other as children, each growing up as sporting prodigies.
Stephens, 26, is a Top 10 ranked player at present on the Women's Tennis Association. Like Altidore, she turned professional as a teenager and is best known for winning the 2017 U.S. Open title.
