FC DALLAS vs. SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES
Toyota Stadium, Frisco, Tex.
October 25, 2015 (WEEK 33, MLS Game #341)
7 pm ET (MLS LIVE)

The meeting between FC Dallas and the San Jose Earthquakes will have massive implications for both clubs’ playoff hopes when the teams meet in their Decision Day decider Sunday at Toyota Stadium. FCD has already clinched first place in the Western Conference following their 1-0 win at Real Salt Lake last week, but will anxiously watching the New York Red Bulls outcome as they chase the first Supporters’ Shield in club history. The Quakes are still alive for a playoff berth following their 1-0 win against Sporting Kansas City last weekend, entering the weekend sitting a point below the red line in the West.

  • FC Dallas are still alive for the first Supporters’ Shield in club history, tied for the top spot in the MLS overall table with the New York Red Bulls following their 1-0 win at Real Salt Lake on Saturday evening – their third consecutive shutout.
  • The Earthquakes kept alive their hopes of a place in the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs, completing a three-game homestand undefeated with a second victory in a 1-0 defeat of Sporting Kansas City on Friday evening at Avaya Stadium.
  • The teams are meeting for the third time this season. Blas Perez scored the game’s lone goal deep into second-half stoppage time to give FC Dallas the victory in the season opener for both teams, March 7 at Toyota Stadium. The teams then reached a scoreless draw, June 7 at Avaya Stadium.
  • FCD is undefeated in the last three matchups between the clubs. The FC Dallas victory in the final meeting at Buck Shaw Stadium a year ago – a 5-0 victory – was their first on the road against San Jose since 2009, a 2-1 win in Santa Clara.
