Inter Miami CF look to continue their push toward the 2020 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs when they head to Toyota Stadium Wednesday night to take on an FC Dallas side that have won just once in their last seven.

FC Dallas (6W-5L-7D) are coming off a 0-0 draw against Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium Saturday, while Inter Miami (6W-11L-3D) moved above the playoff line in the East following a dramatic 2-1 win over Orlando City SC.

FC Dallas

FC Dallas' attacking struggles continued Saturday night with a 0-0 draw at Real Salt Lake. It was the second consecutive game without a goal and FCD have scored just one goal in their last four matches. Still, Luchi Gonzalez is pleased with a point he thinks could loom large down the stretch.

"It's an important point that I'm sure will make a difference at the end," he said. "But we've got to move on quickly. We can't be high or low. We just need to be steady and look forward to the opportunity we have now to play home again."

Inter Miami CF

Inter Miami CF found a late set-piece goal from Leandro Gonzalez Pirez to grab a 2-1 win over Florida rivals Orlando City SC and a massive three points in the battle for a place in the 2020 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs at Inter Miami CF Stadium on Saturday. The expansion side have lost just once in their last five, winning three of those matches and are now just above the playoff line in the East with three matches to play.

“We have to face the next matches the same way. We know that for the moment we’re in playoff position, but we still haven’t sealed anything," Gonzalez Pirez said after the match. "We have to go match by match and now we have to prepare for the coming match in the best way possible. We have to go push for it away from home, because we need the maximum number of points possible. Truthfully, this is a good boost to our spirits, it lifts our self esteem and gives us confidence for what’s left of the season but we know we haven’t sealed anything. We have to go to Dallas, to Toronto, and push to bring home three points or whatever will help us move up and reach the playoffs.”
