Jersey Week: FC Dallas unveiled new secondary jerseys in 2015

Tim Cahill owns the fastest goal scored in MLS history, which came eight seconds into the New York Red Bulls’ Oct. 20, 2013 match against the Houston Dynamo.

He’s got nothing on Emmanuel Kiwele.

Kiwele’s an FC Dallas Academy player, and he scored on the opening kick of their US Youth Soccer Under-18 Region III championship game last week against NASA 15 Elite. By our count, it took all of four seconds for Kiwele to catch the opposing goalkeeper napping off his line.

The video (above; h/t BigDSoccer for spotting it first) seems to show three FC Dallas players strategizing about the play. And as soon as the whistle blows, Kiwele launches a long, looping shot over the ‘keeper’s reach.

Unfortunately for FC Dallas, it wasn’t enough to win the match, and they fell by a 6-2 score.
