FC Cincinnati midfielder Haris Medunjanin, in resounding fashion, took home A&T Goal of the Week honors for Week 12 of the 2020 MLS regular season.

Medunjanin scored an Olimpico in the 85th minute of last Saturday’s 1-0 win at the New York Red Bulls, ending a six-game winless skid for Cincy. Medunjanin’s left-footed corner kick, which sailed over goalkeeper David Jensen’s head and bounced in off the post, earned 59.53% of the total vote.

Second place went to Columbus Crew SC striker Gyasi Zardes, whose backheel flick got 24.69% of the vote. Zardes capped off a 2-0 win over expansion side Nashville SC in second-half stoppage time, giving him nine goals for the season and sole possession of second place in the Golden Boot race.

D.C. United homegrown forward Griffin Yow’s first MLS goal earned him third place with 13.53% of the vote. It was the 17-year-old’s seventh MLS appearance, and his left-footed volley salvaged a 2-2 draw for D.C. against Toronto FC

It was then single digits for Colorado Rapids midfielder Cole Bassett, who had 1.43% of the vote to place fourth after finishing a picture-perfect cross from fellow homegrown standout Sam Vines in a 2-0 win at the LA Galaxy. Montreal Impact forward Romell Quioto took up fifth place with 0.82% of the vote after his low, bending free kick beat Andre Blake. The Honduran was also shown a red card shortly thereafter, setting up Philadelphia for the 4-1 win.
