The 26-year-old, who joined Newcastle in Jan. 2019 on a record transfer, has eight goals in 38 appearances in all competitions this season.
Also in the Premier League Sunday, US youth international Indiana Vassilev came off the substitute's bench for Aston Villa to play the final five minutes+stoppage time in a 2-0 defeat to new title holders Liverpool at Anfield. Vassilev, who made his Premier League debut Jan. 18 against Brighton, made his third appearance Sunday. The 19-year-old signed a new two-year contract in May.
